Hi there! I’m Michele and I’m thrilled that you’re here visiting my blog! I live in Ontario, Canada with my wonderfully handy hubby of almost 30 years. He reluctantly lends a hand with my woodworking projects when I can’t quite figure them out! We have three grown-up kids who, for many years, kept us super busy and challenged our budgeting abilities but I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
I’ve always been a make-do and crafty person. One of my favorite childhood memories was receiving a good ole bag of hand-me-downs and dreaming up ways to refashion them by cutting, removing collars and embroidering. I said I was crafty, not popular!
My motto is Start Where You Are, Use What You Have, and Do What You Can.
When things seem impossible, this motto has always guided me, especially Use What You Have. A lot of times, I see items that I love but no budget. That’s when I get excited and creative!
ReuseitQueen started back in 2005. This was the name for my E-Bay account where I sold my vintage finds. Back then, my focus was on chenille bedspreads (you know, the kind that your grandmother used to have!) and embroidered linens. I loved to create pillows and even stuffed animals with these beautiful fabrics.
I started the ReuseitQueen blog to share my passion for upcycling, refashioning, and refurbishing.
My goal with ReuseitQueen is to inspire others to dive into their own resourcefulness and creativity to create beautiful items, reduce waste and save some money along the way!
Thanks for stopping by! I’d love to hear from you.
